ARIA (Advanced Rogue Intelligence Assault)
ARIA
Have you ever encountered some awesome game titles and immediately think that you’re going to enjoy the hell out of it? I feel like ARIA is one of those games. However, it’s not what it actually seems. I mean, think about it, the game ARIA is an acronym for Advanced Rogue Intelligence Assault. I know, it sounds cool, right? Well, I have opened the game, and I immediately realized that I have no idea what this game is going to be about. Anyhow, there’s still a lot to be discussed, so without further ado, let’s get on with this review.
ARIA’s Gameplay
As you open the game, you’re then welcomed with a really fucking long loading screen, I have absolutely no idea as to why it took that long, I even checked my computer’s network connection, and it showed nothing about the game downloading its resources. It’s just that long for no apparent reason. Moreover, as I saw my eyes wander to the game’s welcome screen, I can’t help but notice the disclaimer found on the bottom left corner. It was only a warning that you shouldn’t expect that much in this game because the developer only made it in his free time. Well… I’m still going to review the heck out of this game.
Anyway, on the main screen, there are a couple of options that you can choose, either you choose to play a new game, view the gallery, or an option to put in a key code of a previous game because apparently, that’s how the Save feature works here. Moving on, when you start a new game, you’re then transferred to its introductory video of the game as a really bust woman would introduce the rest of the crew to you and tell you what their likes, dislikes, and their kinky fantasies are. Next thing you know, you’re moved to the gameplay’s main scene. Trust me when I say this, I can’t stress enough on how bland it is, not to mention that it’s overloaded with information that you know nothing about.
Each of your crew members has stats in their perspective information page, which includes love, fatigue, food, and obedience. Furthermore, In the gameplay’s main screen, you can select which crew you would like to use. You’re then presented with a bunch of “orders” that you can select, you can order a crew member to talk, train, battle, punish, eat, sleep, recover, set her free, or the best option in this game, you can order her to fuck you. Now, ain’t that the whole point of this whole game?
The Soundtrack Selection
When it comes to the porn games, I can almost guarantee that there are two kinds of men out there; the one who plays with no music, and the ones who crank up the volume so loud. I won’t be judging the ones who turn down the music, but that’s not me, I like my music loud, especially the porn, as I want to be fully immersed in the game like it was me who is doing the fucking. Anyway, the overall soundtrack quality of the game is quite interesting. I can actually give my best regards to the developer for putting in a lot of effort into selecting the best soundtrack for each specified scene in the game.
In the main scene, there is a single soundtrack that’s on repeat, as it also gives a space-ish vibe into it, in which it matches perfectly given the fact that this game has a space theme. Moreover, in every other scene, there’s a specified soundtrack into it, such as the battle, the training, and especially the sex scenes. I can’t stress enough on how confused I was with the game. It’s like it’s perfect, and yet it’s not. Anyway, in regards to the sex scene (which is the main reason why people play this game), there’s no moaning, groaning, or dick-penetrating sound effects, there’s only some party music mixed with female and male moaning running on repeat. It made me feel annoyed and aroused at the same time.
Female Voice Acting
My initial impression of the game is that it’s actually a good one. I mean, in the game’s introduction animation, I noticed that it has voice acting, not all porn games do that, especially the kind of games where there’s only one developer doing it. However, I was disappointed later on, because I found out that the voice acting element of this game can only be found in the intro, nothing more, nothing less.
The Graphics and Artwork
As you already know, flash games aren’t that much appreciated because of the fact that the capabilities of developers are only limited to what a typical browser can handle. Anyway, let’s get on with this. Due to the game’s disclaimer in the main menu, I was actually not expecting that much to the game’s overall graphics quality, but boy it fucking took me by surprise. I know, I know, the graphics of the game are only minimum, but the animated artwork of the crew members is quite amazing, especially in the sex scenes. Although the scenes where the crew members fuck are only a 2-second animation that’s on repeat, though it’s still enough for a man to bust a nut.
However, I can’t actually say the same about the rest of the options for orders. Whenever I press battle, train, recover, eat, sleep, or some other shit, it only shows me the same place. No artwork, no animation, there’s nothing, only some dialogue that they have done what you asked for. Furthermore, I can’t deny the fact that the characters are actually well made, but that’s all I’m going to say regarding that element in the game.
There’s Actually A Combat System?
Yes, you heard that right, there’s a combat system in the game. However, I was actually quite disappointed and confused. There’s an option on the main screen located on the right, the Use Special Agents feature. You get to use Jeo (because there aren’t any other characters to choose from), I clicked on it, and it showed me a scene where a small ship is leaving the base, then the scene changed, and I was immediately in some weird intergalactic dispute between you and an enemy. There was an option to talk it out, battle, or flee, but the talk feature is actually kind of useless as it only shows some small talk, and you’re still going to battle it out anyway.
Let me get this straight, there’s a combat system in the game, and there’s no instructions or guides of some sort that explains how the system works. It’s quite frustrating, really. The intergalactic battle shows two ships firing at each other, in which I have absolutely no fucking idea how to control. There are numbers in the middle of the screen that it can get hit with ship’s lasers, but I still have absolutely no idea what that’s for. I kept getting hit for some reason, and I’m not even hitting back. In short, the combat system is garbage.
What I Like About The Game
Let’s talk a little about the sex scenes in the game. The artwork is quite nice, and even though it’s only seconds of animation going on repeat, it’s still enough. However, in the sex scene’s interface, there are two buttons on the right; the “more,” and the “ok.” I kept pressing more to show different positions of the crew members fucking each other, and as I got to the end of it, It actually showed me an animation of the man cumming inside a crew member. I kept pressing more, but it didn’t show me anything, it just stopped.
Except for the part that it’s a flash game, which means you don’t have to download anything to play the game, I can’t actually think of anything else that I would say I love about the game.
My Recommendations For Improvements
I’m not a fucking asshole, well, not all the time, and I know good content when I see one. However, to be more transparent about this, I can honestly say that this game is quite good so far. I know the game is still unfinished, and it’s only made by a single developer in his free time, but the results are actually quite amazing. Therefore, I’m not going to give my recommendations, unless it’s actually finished, or considered to be almost done.
Conclusion
Right off the bat, I’m actually amazed by what this developer has accomplished. Overall, ARIA is a fantastic game if you’re one of those people who have a fetish to intergalactic fucking. I am really hoping that a lot of porn game developers would get inspiration from the game because it would actually give a lot of insight as to what a single porn game developer is capable of. Anyway, I would rate this game a solid 3.5 out 5, and that is actually saying something knowing that it’s still an unfinished game.
