The animation is still somewhat basic, but it’s way more fluid than it was in the first game. The core gameplay remains the same at The Void Club: Chapter 18. Like its predecessors, this installment is, in essence, a visual novel. You go through a tightly written story by choosing what you’re going to say or do in certain situations. And while there have been instances where certain The Void Club chapters featured a much larger variety of choices, it’s refreshing to have a contained story from time to time. The upside is that you won’t have to replay the 18th chapter dozens of times to unlock every single scene and every easter egg.

If I had to nitpick, keeping in mind that this is a simple and straightforward browser XXX game, there would be just a couple of things I’d like fixed. From the very beginning of reviewing this series, I’ve been asking for a better soundtrack and voice acting. Still, I understand that these elements are more resource-heavy, and a small team like the one behind The Void Club: Chapter 18 probably can’t afford that. But it would be nice not to have a monotonous soundtrack going during every single moment of the game. Finally, easter eggs could be easier to find with at least a hint given.
