But, at the end of the day, it mostly boils down to experiencing the story while choosing the right dialogue and action options. In that broader sense, The Void Club: Chapter 9 isn’t that much different from the previous games in the series. However, this installment offers a simpler, more streamlined approach to storytelling. There are no massive and complex branching paths.

While I’ve replayed every single chapter in the series a couple of times, always wanting to unlock everything in the gallery (because I’m a completionist and because the porn and the girls are so amazing), that wasn’t the case with The Void Club: Chapter 9. Now, that doesn’t mean I haven’t had a blast going through the game. Chapter 9 is also not the least bit worse than any of its predecessors. I mean, I did deliberately die a couple of times just to see where the path ends, but I was back on track in a matter of seconds, picking the right choice. Fewer bad choices meant less stressful gameplay where I wasn’t afraid that the game would just randomly kill me off for no apparent reason. The Void Club: Chapter 9 is all about a good story and hardcore porn.

Fewer Choices, More Porn

I’d say it’s up to the individual player to figure out whether they love The Void Club: Chapter 9 more or less than the other installments in the series. I mean, you’ll definitely love the game because of its many qualities, but if you’ve been playing other chapters leading up to this one, you’ll notice the difference. My opinion sits somewhere in the middle. The hardcore gamer in me loves to be in control and enjoys the immense immersion that some of the previous chapters have given us. But, as much as the inability to have a vastly different outcome on another playthrough bothered me, there are other things this chapter offers to compensate for that shortcoming. For instance, I found it much easier to focus on the porn bit. Hell, there were parts where I realized that going for the wrong choice would actually show me more of that perverted action. It should come as no surprise that the actual narrative was captivating and much more tightly constructed than in some of the previous chapters. When you don’t have to worry about vastly different outcomes, it’s easier to do a single path rather well. You show up at a futuristic spaceship and quickly find that foxy redhead doctor hiding in the closet. This doctor Cara isn’t the girl that your radar points at, but she turns out to be more than willing to help but also take your dick in her tight holes.

When Samus, the girl your radar points at, finally arrives at the ship, hunting for those pesky pirates, you realize that she has a heavy suit of armor and that she’s a formidable fighter. With the help of a busty and horny doctor, you trick Samus into taking her armor off, making her a sexier and much more vulnerable target. Not only that but you manage to sneakily attach stimulants to this blonde that reward good behavior and punish bad ones, giving you the ability to literally train her into obedience.

It’s the franchise we’re used to by now and the one I’ll play for as long as they keep coming with new installments. I’ve given up on hoping for a better soundtrack and voice acting, but hey, I’d be thrilled if the devs finally decide to do something about that.
