Ever since the first chapter, I’ve been talking about the vast potential of The Void Club series. When you have such a magnificent premise, it’s hard to screw things up. All you need to do is play the greatest hits, find the hottest babes, and parody the biggest mainstream games. So far, the creators haven’t disappointed. Not only that, but as the game progresses, things are only becoming more interesting. That’s where we find ourselves with The Void Club: Chapter 4. With the hotties like Triss Merigold, Miranda Lawson, and Susan Storm already safe and sound in our nightclub, we’ve now set our eyes on the Resident Evil cutie.

However, Jill Valentine is not going to be just another chick with a job to seduce and satisfy the club visitors. Instead, this time we’re looking for security. After all, someone needs to make sure that everything works without problems. And, since you have a whole multiverse at your disposal, why not choose an absolute sex bomb for a security officer that you can fuck as well? Luckily, experienced and capable Jill is here to save the day, and, from there on out, it’s on you to seduce and hire the babe.

More Gameplay Mechanics to Follow a More Complex Narrative

The moment the game opens, you realize you’re in for a different kind of ride than the previous parts. Now, I’m not saying the game is completely different from its predecessors. It doesn’t have groundbreaking changes; it doesn’t use a different game engine, have next-gen graphics, or anything like that. It is still a neat little browser game that we grew to learn and love. Nevertheless, The Void Club: Chapter 4, just like every sequel before it, managed to improve on the previous one little by little. And with the fourth chapter, there are perhaps some of the biggest improvements so far.

For starters, the game instantly puts you in quite a pickle. There’s no planning faze like in the last three. Instead, the second you open a portal, a bunch of zombies busts through. You quickly figure out you’re not the one pulling the strings this time but the one reacting to the environment and trying to survive. That feeling reflects through the gameplay as well. There are more choices where you can fuck up, die, and lose progress. As a result, you need to think options through. The upside is that making the right choices rewards handsomely, perhaps even better than before.

The visual novel-type of gameplay is improved upon by giving the player additional things to do. For example, you get to save Jill by shooting the arms of zombies holding her. Or, you’re tasked with finding an antidote for the poison virus by searching the room in a police station. But pay close attention because some containers might just be booby-trapped and rigged with explosives! At the end of the day, The Void Club: Chapter 4 didn’t transform the series into a AAA FPS or adventure game, but it’s definitely more intricate.

Another Step in the Right Direction

All of the improvements and the increase in complexity with The Void Club: Chapter 4 that we’ve talked about so far are just another in the line of good choices by the developers. You can tell that they know their indie porn game is not competing for the GOTY (Game of the Year) award. Yet the team still gives it its all in an attempt to make a compelling online XXX adventure. And, for a game that you can play in your browser, that’s more than enough. I had a somewhat restrained approach to the first one, but the game’s been winning me over ever since.

With each new installment in the series, I’ve been liking The Void Club more and more. Each sequel comes with changes that might seem small at first until you realize they massively enhance the experience. The Void Club: Chapter 4 took the biggest leap. For starters, it has the most characters so far. That means the most babes you can fuck out of any chapter so far. The story took a turn for the better. Just when it was beginning to get stale, we were given new stuff to do, new mysteries to solve, new weapons and gadgets to use, and new mechanics to utilize to our benefit.

I’ve already glanced over how choices carry more weight and impact, but that’s the bread and butter of any visual novel. In The Void Club: Chapter 4, every single thing I did lead to a different outcome. One wrong line of dialogue might get your brains splattered on the floor. The right choice, on the other hand, will bless you with a scene of a hung monster ramming beautiful Jill Valentine in the ass. In the end, it’s all up to you.

What I Expect from the Sequel

By now, I have grown spoiled by The Void Club, as there’s always the next installment on the horizon. Not only that, but by default, I expect the next chapter to be better than the previous one. The Void Club: Chapter 4 is yet another proof that the developers keep improving at a rapid pace. The game is still far from perfect, but by using the appropriate standards to judge it, you realize it’s quite a good piece of an online porn adventure. I mean, how many titles can you load in your browser in less than a minute that offer a couple of playthroughs, dozens of gorgeous naked babes, and even more hardcore porn scenes?

With all the upsides and improvements that we’ve gone over, it’s worth noting a couple of things I’d love to see fixed or changed. Once again, the soundtrack consists of just one song going over and over, monotonously, on repeat. Some sound effects here and there and dynamic audio would do wonders for the series. Speaking of sound, I’m still waiting for voice acting. Getting capable chicks who will do all the moans and screams for your game can make or break the whole experience, and I want to see this thing get even better. Finally, the menu and controls remain clunky and unresponsive on certain occasions.

There’s plenty to like about The Void Club: Chapter 4 as long as your expectations are grounded.
